OUR FILM TITLED – GROWING UP SLOWLY, PLAY IS THE WAY! – CONTINUES TO GAIN APPLAUSE FROM

AN EXPANSIVE VIEWING AUDIENCE.

“Be it parents, or politicians, or educators, or film industry professionals – our new film titled – Growing Up Slowly, Play Is The Way! is generating a positive buzz” says Laurel Tucker, Co-Founder of Bright Day Foundation.

Our film conveys a critical message about the dangers of play depravation in today’s children worldwide – and promotes the importance of more play in communities, and play-based learning in schools. “Our goal”, says Laurel Tucker “is simple – MORE PLAY!”

Most recently the documentary film, Growing Up Slowly, Play Is The Way! was awarded BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM and BEST FEATURE DIRECTOR by the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival and the Milan (Italy) Independent Film Festival respectively. These awards to the film itself and film director and editor Bennett Krishock demonstrates the importance of the message and the clarity in which the story is told.

To date, the documentary film has been pre-screened in Japan, England, South Korea and the United States in Los Angeles and New York City. Additionally, the film has also been screened by the global membership of IPA, the International Play Association during the United Nations International Day of Play. More global pre-screening events are planned prior to the films public release. Thousands of expert viewers have watched, applauded and unanimously agree that plays importance mandates change – with more focus on bringing more play to communities, schools, families, and our children.
